    The young, newly graduated IDA members have too little influence, even though they hold the key to the future. There must be more diversity in IDA, and the union should educate its members with the help of international experts.

    Mere magt til de nyuddannede

    De unge, færdiguddannede IDA-medlemmer har for lidt indflydelse, selvom de har nøglen til fremtiden, mener Dimittendlisten. IDA skal desuden styrke sine medlemmers faglighed via udenlandske eksperter

    Unge, nyuddannede ingeniører kan forny IDA og har krav på bedre repræsentation, mener Dimittendlisten, der ser et demokratisk problem i, at gennemsnitsalderen i IDAs repræsentantskab er så høj. De nyuddannede har opdateret viden og gåpåmod, og de kan derfor lede IDA ind i fremtiden på bedste vis. IDA skal være bedre til at hjælpe de nyuddannede i den svære overgang fra studie til første job og skal fastholde dem som medlemmer, selvom kontingentet stiger, når studietiden ophører. Dimittendlisten er tilhænger af mangfoldighed og ønsker også at se flere udenlandske ingeniører fra danske virksomheder i IDAs repræsentantskab.

    Mærkesager:

    -Flere unge medlemmer i IDAs ledende politiske organer. De unges synspunkter skal høres i overensstemmelse med de mange unge medlemmer, IDA har.

    -Et IDA-medlemskab skal gøre det lettere for den enkelte at gå fra studerende til erhvervsaktiv. Eksempelvis via soft skills-arrangementer og individuel rådgivning til nyuddannede.

    -IDA skal levere teknologisk viden på internationalt niveau. Det skal ske ved events, hvor man inviterer talere fra udlandet samt herboende udenlandske eksperter.

    Historisk

    Dimittendlisten startede under navnet ‘generationslisten’, fordi flere generationer arbejdede sammen bag facaden: De unge var spidskandidater, og de ældre gav dem modspil og administrativ bistand. Sådan er det stadig, men navnet er udskiftet for at signalere listens politik klarere. Listen har gennem de seneste perioder haft mandater i repræsentantskabet og et sæde i hovedbestyrelsen og har derved fået afsat penge til at hjælpe dimittender i en række projekter.

    Vision

    IDA skal have flere unge i hovedbestyrelsen.

    IDA skal fortsætte Engineer the future og andre projekter, der skaber tilslutning til faget.

    IDA skal være frontløber på teknologi og må ikke være bange for at søge til udlandet for at finde teknologiske løsninger på danske samfundsproblemer.

    IDA skal være større. Få flere cand.scient.er ind og giv dem reelle tilbud og indflydelse, så de føler, at det også er deres forening.

    IDA skal rekruttere flere medlemmer blandt udenlandske ingeniører i danske virksomheder.

    More power to the graduates!

    The young, newly graduated IDA members have too little influence, even though they hold the key to the future, says The Graduate List. IDA must also strengthen its members’ professional knowledge with the help of international experts.

    The young graduates can renew IDA and demand better representation, says The Graduate List, who sees a democratic problem in that the average age of IDA's representatives is so high. The graduates have updated knowledge and the can-do attitude to lead IDA into the future in the best way possible. IDA must be better at assisting the graduates in the difficult transition from studying to their first job and must retain them as members even though the membership fee increases when the study period ends. The Graduate List believes in diversity and would like to see more international engineers from Danish companies in IDA's Board of Representatives.

    Key Issues

    -More young members in IDA's leading political committees. The views of the young should be heard in accordance with their numbers.

    -An IDA membership should make it easier to transition from student to employee. For example through soft skills-events and individual counseling for new graduates.

    -IDA must provide its members with technological knowledge at an international level. This should be done at events where you invite speakers from abroad as well as resident foreign experts.

     

     

     

    History
    The Graduate List was initially called ‘The Generation List’ because several generations worked together behind the scenes: The young people were the leading candidates, and the older members offered sparring and administrative assistance. This is still the case, but the name has been changes to signal the list's policies more clearly. During recent terms, the list has held mandates in the Board of Representatives and a seat on the main board and has thus been able to allocate funds to help graduates with a number of projects.

    Vision
    IDA must have more young people on the main board.

    IDA must continue Engineer the future and other projects that generate interest in our profession.

    IDA must be a front runner in technology and should not be afraid to look abroad to find technological solutions to problems in Danish society.

    IDA must be larger. Bring in more MScs and give them real offers and influence, so they feel that it is their union as well.

    IDA must recruit more members among international engineers in Danish companies.
