Who am I?

Currently I am without a permanent position. That is, I am supporting myself through a mixture of short-term employments, in and outside of my field, combined with unemployment benefits. I have worked this way since I graduated in 2015.For example, I have worked within my field as a research assistant and a technical consultant as well as an analysis and validation chemist. In order to make ends meet, I occasionally work as a personal assistant for the disabled. This has given me a unique insight into, what I would call the shadow side of a more freelance based labor market, which some believe that the future will bring more of.

My background is as a chemical engineer specializing in synthesis and medical chemistry. During my study time I was active in the Polytechnic Association (PF), were I participated in political activities both internally and externally, e.g. as a student representative in the Accreditation Council.

Why am I a candidate?

My main motivation for running in this election is that  I think it is important to take part in the world around us, and because I am passionate about organizational work.

I have chosen to run as a candidate for Yngrelisten, because I agree with their platform that IDA must be in step with its members, whether they are engineers or MSc. I believe that this require that we focus more on the labor market, and ask ourselves whether we have the right offers to help unemployed people find their way back to the labor market - both regarding recent graduates and people with work experienced who have lost their job. I also think that we need to look at how we ensure stability and security for our members if the labor market becomes more freelance based in the future. Finding out how we safeguard people with many temporary employments is something IDA should work with proactively.

Why should you vote for me?

You should vote for me if you agree that we need IDA to secure its members the best possible conditions and connection to the labor market.

Below, I will briefly summarize what I think are the most important areas for IDA over the next three years.

• IDA must be the voice of both Engineers and MSc in relation to the future labor market and thereby ensure the best conditions for temporary and permanent employees.

• IDA must work for the best help for graduates and unemployed to enter / return to the labor market.

• IDA must be an organization that works to make knowledge sharing easy across organizations and country borders, so that Denmark has access to the latest knowledge and the most skilled experts – both now and in the future.

This is what I see as IDA's main tasks over the next three.

Hvem er jeg?

I det daglige er jeg uden fast stilling, hvilket vil sige at jeg ernærer mig ved en blanding af dagpenge og korttidsansættelser i og uden for mit felt, og det har jeg gjort siden jeg blev færdiguddannet i 2015. Jeg har blandt andet, inden for mit felt, arbejdet som forskningsassistent, teknisk konsulent samt analyse- og valideringskemiker. For at få enderne til at mødes arbejder jeg indimellem som handicaphjælper. Tilsammen giver disse ansættelser mig et unikt indblik i det jeg vil kalde skyggesiden af det mere freelance baserede arbejdsmarked, som nogle mener fremtiden bringer mere af.

Jeg er uddannet kemiingeniør med speciale i syntese og medicinalkemi, og gennem min studietid var jeg aktiv i Polyteknisk Forening (PF), hvor jeg var med i mange interne, politikskabende organer, og desuden repræsenterede foreningen udadtil, fx som studenterrepræsentant i Akkrediteringsrådet.

Hvorfor stiller jeg op?

Jeg stiller op fordi jeg mener det vigtig at engagere sig i omverden, og fordi jeg brænder for organisationsarbejde.

Jeg stiller op for Yngrelisten da jeg er enig med listens platform om at IDA skal være en forening i trit med sine medlemmer, om de er ingeniører eller Cand.scient.er. Jeg mener at dette kræver at vi har fokus på arbejdsmarkedet, i forhold til om vi har de rigtige tilbud til at få ledige ind på arbejdsmarkedet - såvel for dimittender som for erhvervserfarne der har mistet jobbet. Jeg mener også vi bør kigge på hvordan vi sikrer vores medlemmer, hvis fremtidens arbejdsmarked bliver mere freelance baseret. At finde ud af hvordan vi sikrer personer med mange midlertidige ansættelser, er noget IDA bør arbejde med nu, for at udvise rettidig omhu.  

Hvorfor skal man stemme på mig?

Man skal stemme på mig, hvis man er enig med mig i at vi har brug for et IDA som sikrer sine medlemmer de bedst mulig forhold på og tilknytning til arbejdsmarkedet.

Herunder vil jeg opsummere kort hvad jeg mener de vigtigst områder for IDA de næste tre år er.

• IDA skal være Ingeniørernes og Cand.scient.ernes stemme i forhold til fremtidens arbejdsmarked og derved sikre de bedste forhold for midlertidige og faste ansættelser.

• IDA skal arbejde for den bedste hjælp til dimittender og ledige til at komme ind/tilbage på arbejdsmarkedet.

•IDA skal være en organisation der arbejde for at gøre det nemt at vidensdele på tværs af organisationer og landegrænser, så Danmark har adgang til den nyeste viden og de dygtigste eksperter - også i fremtiden.

Det er det jeg ser som IDAs hovedopgaver de næste tre år.
